Megan works with children ages 1-18 years who have receptive/expressive language delay, articulation/phonological disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, velopharyngeal incompetence, tongue thrust, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down Syndrome, Prader Willi Syndrome, fluency disorders, and developmental delay. She also enjoys providing early intervention play-based services and facilitating social-pragmatic groups. Megan has participated in a wide range of continuing education courses related to speech, language, and learning disorders across the pediatric population. Megan is a Level I trained PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) therapist. She has also attended courses focused on Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorders, remediation of articulation disorders (SATPAC), stuttering, literacy and pre-literacy skills (Lindamood-Bell Phoneme Sequencing ProgramAR) and listening/reading comprehension abilities (Visualizing and Verbalizing for Language Comprehension and ThinkingAR).
Megan is a native Southern Californian, but has been blessed to have also lived in Corvallis, Oregon and now on beautiful Mercer Island, WA. When she is not working, Megan enjoys traveling, running, reading and spending time with her husband, her son and daughter, and her two golden retrievers.
